This Sunday, May 25, NASA’s Mars Phoenix Lander will make it’s descent to the northern plains of Vastitas Borealis on Mars.  It will be there looking for sub-surface water ice.   Unlike the rovers, this will be a stationary lander.  See the full write-up on space.com
